Welcome to Baptist Pediatric Clinic
We appreciate the opportunity to provide you with medical services. The information that follows is designed to answer many of the questions most patients have. We want you to know about our policies and methods of practice. The more you know, the more we can be of service. If there are any questions, however, please ask since we do want to be of help.
Everyone in this practice operates as a team member. All have been trained as professionals and we take pride in our professional capabilities.
Appointments
We try to see all patients on an appointment basis, and we request that you call in advance so that we can reserve a time for you. We make every effort to honor all time commitments. But please let us know ahead of time if you are unable to keep an appointment. When emergencies occur there may be a delay in your child being seen. Whenever possible we will let you know of changes in appointment times.
All patients are encouraged to call with any questions they have on medical problems. Your call will be returned at the earliest opportunity, depending on the urgency of the call.

emergency Care
When emergencies occur after hours, please call the office number and the answering service will relay the call to the doctor. You will receive a response in a few minutesIn case of dire emergencies, such as auto accidents, the hospital will let us know of your injuries, and calls to the answering service are not necessary.Whenever you go to a facility after hours, please notify the office the next day IF a referral form needs to be sent to the HMO or insurance company.
Insurance
You MUST study your health insurance policy to see what type of coverage you have. In particular you must determine what visits are covered, whether immunizations are paid for, and which hospitals are preferred by your Health Plan.It is also your responsibility to pay for charges not covered by your insurance. We advise all patients to find out the status of insurance payments, to make sure claims are not being rejected by the insurance companies. This should be done, when you come to the office on a subsequent visit, or by calling the office after a reasonable time has elapsed.

Prescriptions and Renewals
All prescriptions requests and authorizations for renewals should be made during office hours, as far in advance as possible. Please give us sufficient time to prepare prescriptions that you must pick up.Almost all prescriptions are sent electronically to your Pharmacy. If refills are needed on long term medications please call the Office during hours at which time we have access to the medication dosage and frequency.
Fees and Payments
We have tried to set our fees at a reasonable level based on community standards. If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to one of the secretaries. ALL copays MUST be made at the time of the visit, since billing for copays places an undue burden on the office staff. Financial Problems: If there is a problem with payment of your bill, please let us know so that we can make other arrangements.
