  • Raymond B. Allen Instructorship Award (The Golden Apple).  Awarded to Dr. Baptist 32 times between 1979 and 2020.
  • 2006: Faculty speaker at graduation ceremony — chosen by the graduating class
  • 2006: Humanism in Medicine Award
  • 1997: Faculty Distinguished Teaching Award
  • 1986, 1988: Honor Roll of Outstanding Teachers

 

  • Nominated for UIC Flame Award for Teaching Excellence 2002, by University of Illinois Alumni Association.
  • Selected by the University of Illinois at Chicago, to represent the College of Medicine as the candidate for the 2004 AAMC Alpha Omega Alpha Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award.
  • Appointed AOA Co-Councilor for Urbana, Peoria and Rockford campuses of University of Illinois College of Medicine, 2012-2013.
  • AOA Clinical Teaching Award 2007-2008 from Alpha Chapter of University of Illinois College of Medicine
  • Hooder at the graduation ceremony — chosen by the graduating classes of 1979, 1995, 2003, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018
  • Inducted as Faculty Member into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society April 2008, at University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago.
  • Recipient of the Award for the Distinguished Mentor of the Year in Pediatrics, February 12, 2010 by vote of the students at the College of Medicine.
  • The Faculty Distinguished Service Award 2006, from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine at Rockford.
